Adjective
An adjective is a word that modifies a noun or pronoun.
Examples: The big dog barked loudly.
(The and big modify or describe the noun dog. They are adjectives.)
The dog was big and loud.
(The adjectives The, big, and loud modify the noun dog.)
The dog was a big one.
(The adjective the modifies dog; the adjective big modifies the pronoun one.)
